You've always heard: "The early bird gets the worm".
But, like I always say, THE SECOND RAT GETS THE CHEESE!
Have you ever had a great idea and then say. . . nah, someone has probably already done that?
In 1816, Carl Benz applied for a patent for his “vehicle, powered by a gas engine.”
In other words, He invented the automobile.
But that didn't stop Henry Ford in 1903, some 87 years later, from starting Ford Motor Company. You see, Henry didn't invent the automobile, he just figured out a way to mass- produce it and sold it to the masses.
Same with Colonel Sanders. For sure he did not fry the first chicken, but he did invent a
way to cook it differently, added his special herbs and spices and sold it to the world.
Carl, Henry and The Colonel all took a great idea and improved and expanded on it and made millions.
Just because someone else beats you to the cheese, don't let it discourage you.
It doesn't mean you can't do it better, improve on it or add to it.
BE CREATIVE . . . AND YOU WILL GET THE CHEESE!!
