As you climb the ladder of life, make sure your ladder is leaning against the right wall: your job, your career, your relationships, your health and even your eternal destination!
But before you start climbing your own personal ladder of success, make sure you have done your research on "the wall" you are intending to climb. You don't want to waste all your time, hard work and energy reaching for the top of that ladder, only to realize it is not really where you want to be.
As you ascend the Ladder of Life, always be kind to the guy on the rung below. Because when you are coming down, he may be the one to help you!
Remember, as we begin to age and start our descent down the ladder, we face another set of challenges.
Hold on tighter!
Be more deliberate in your steps,
Even though you might be wiser, you need to be more careful or you could easily have a misstep.
On your way down, chances are good you will meet someone you met on your way up and they might need your encouragement and a helping hand.
No matter which direction you are going, you should do your best to be a good example.
What direction is your ladder going? Up? Down?
Or is it a merry go round, not a ladder at all?
As one of my buddies said, "You're getting kind of old to be on a ladder."
