Christmas is over but not forgotten. Some of us are still picking pine-needles out of our shag carpet. And if you still have shag carpet, you're old like me!
We are still sorting through the array of gifts given from those who love us enough to remember us -- like my Aunt Ruby who once gave me a neon-colored tie with penguins playing poker and red flannel PJ's with cowboys on them. What was she thinking??
Should I have considered 're-gifting' these beauties? Do I think it's the right thing to do? After all, I told Aunt Ruby I loved them.
One day, these gifts and many more like them will probably end up in a Thrift Store. Who knows, someone might walk in and think these gifts are the 'Hope Diamonds' of fashion finds.
Even though I struggle in my mind to do the right thing about regifting, I am convinced - there is only one gift that is definitely acceptable to 're-gift'. And that's the gift of LOVE.
The good thing about regifting LOVE is:
1 Love brings others happiness.
2. Love takes little effort.
3. Love doesn't cost you much.
4. Love fits everybody!
5. Love has a boomerang effect. Whatever you give comes back to you.
Spread love wherever you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.
-Mother Theresa
Remember, re-gifting love brings happiness. It's the only gift that gives you more by giving it away!
The gift of happiness is contagious. If you have the power to make someone happy,
DO IT! The world could use more of that!
RE-GIFT LOVE!
