No Ambition

Intelligence without ambition is like a bird without wings. -Salvator Dali

Ambition is that fiery spark that ignites within us and compels us to reach for the stars. Or at least attempt to touch the top shelf without a step stool. Whether your dream is to become the world's greatest pickle ball player or the inventor of a self-stirring coffee mug, embrace it with all the gusto of a mosquito at a nudest colony.

Ambition doesn't just happen. You have to change your mindset. It takes consistency and determination to reach your goals. Be willing to step over the pitfalls and past the problems.

Ambition has many other enemies. Procrastination is a surefire ambition-killer. If it doesn't disable you, it can seriously hinder or cripple your whole plan. If you set your dreams aside long enough, they often fade away.

If you don't have the ambition to be the best at the starting block, you will never be first to finish the race. Don't let anything get in your way. March boldly into the future, armed with your dreams, determination, and an absurd amount of enthusiasm!

Vince Lombardi, the famous coach, once told his team: 'The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of ambition.'

Sometimes your ambitions might lead you on a 'wild goose chase'. Even well-meaning family or friends may try to 'rain on your parade.' But you might be surprised to find your joy in pursuing the absurd. Like Edison. Or Steve Jobs. Or Elon Musk.

Never be afraid of making mistakes. Even though your ambitions might cause you to make the same mistakes over and over again, there is no shame in making them. Often in correcting them you become wiser and stronger.

In fact, I've learned so much from my mistakes, I'm thinking of making a few more!

Just remember, we all make Mistaeks.

As my old friend Elvis once said:

"Ambition is a dream with a V-8 Engine'!
