My first lifestyle photo shoot was with three of my favorite models: my grandmother, my great-grandmother and my mom. Standing in front of my grandpa's 1934 Chevrolet, they were very fashionable for 1943. Apparently, so was I . . . . . in my dress!?
Maybe I wasn't much to look at back then, but I held promise:
Mom loved her little boy, who would hopefully grow up to be a foreman at the cotton mill where daddy worked.
Grandma loved me whether I became a doctor, lawyer or game show host!
Great-grandma was hoping I might become a preacher.
God had other plans for my life.
Maybe you weren't so lucky to be surrounded by people who loved you, encouraged you to do your best and showed you a moral compass.
But it's your turn now to be that person for somebody else.
When you meet someone who seems to be afraid, discouraged or has hit a "bump in the road of life," give them your best piece of encouragement!
Or go the extra step . . . and give them a book!
Love on them.
Inspire them.
Sometimes all they need is just a listening ear.
And like Jesus said, "Here on earth you will all have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."
God loves you and no matter what path you take or took! It's never to late to turn to Him!
