In Training

Chick-fil-A's president Truitt Cathay says that when they hire new team members, they make their name badges with the words 'In Training!' underneath their names. He said it seems to make customers have much more patience knowing these people are new and inexperienced.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we all adapted to this method of daily living? If we keep in mind that we are each 'in training', we would find a great deal more grace to handle our difficulties and use more mercy to forgive ourselves and each other!

After all, we have no instruction book -- so how do we know that we're doing it wrong and not just being creative or innovative? We're all on unique paths of development. Instead of being discouraged by our mistakes, I believe it would help us all to see them as valuable lessons for personal growth?

Hopefully we're all lifelong learners, constantly trying to better ourselves by learning new

and better ways to approach our jobs, lives and relationships. Being in training gives us the power to be ourselves and the encouragement we need to keep trying. Every setback is a chance to learn and improve.

Smart people learn from everything and everyone.

Average people from experiences.

Stupid people already think they have all the answers.   Like I always say:

The fellow who thinks he knows it all is especially annoying to those of us who do.
