In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.
After graduating college, Bill's grandad took him out for a long-awaited fishing trip.
As they walked beside the river, Bill asked his wise grandad: "So, what do you think is the 'secret to success'?" Grandad thought about this question as they continued walking. Suddenly, his grandad stopped and said: "Let's walk this way" as he pointed toward the river.
Confused, but amused, Bill walked beside his grandad into the river. When the water level reached their necks, Bill's grandad suddenly dunked him under the water. Bill was horrified and struggled to get up. But his grandad was unrelenting.
When Bill finally surfaced, he gasped for air and looked very upset with his grandad, when his grandfather asked him: "So Bill, what was it that you wanted most when your head was in the water?" Bill replied with one rather loud word: "AIR!"
His grandad said: “That is the secret to success. When you want success as badly as you wanted the air while you were in the water, then you will get it. There is no other secret.”
