The strength is in the Group!
The strength of a group is each individual member. The strength of each member is the group.
But just because the group is moving in one direction doesn't necessarily mean it's right. We have to use our own discernment. If you give somebody the freedom to be 'your leader', you want to make sure they have the same moral character and values as you.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups. Just because they're louder than you doesn't mean they're right!
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.” — Margaret Mead
Decisions made by groups are usually held to be better than individual decisions, because they draw on more perspectives and information. But don't let the groups' opinions override your common-sense desires to present your views to the contrary. Just because everybody’s for it doesn’t make it right and just because everybody’s against it doesn’t make it wrong.
