Friends

Updated: Nov 12, 2023

Friendship is born at the moment when one man says to another "What! You too?

I thought that no one but myself [felt that way] ― C.S. Lewis

Like I always say: There are no strangers - only friends you haven’t yet met.

I've been very blessed with old buddies that I've know for over 50 years. We’ve been friends so long I can’t remember which one of us is the bad influence. Even after we haven't seen each other in a long time, we pick right back up where we left off with the same old stories & jokes. . . . because we can't remember if we told them before.

A small group of "real" friends are better than a large number of 'so called" friends. And as Al Capone, the well known gangster, once said: "Be careful who you call your friends.

I'd rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies."

You don't meet people by accident. There's always a reason: either a lesson or a blessing.

I tell people, "Talk to everyone! One person can change your life!" . . . Or you might even change theirs!

One of my friends responded: "But they never speak to me." And I asked him: "Did you ever consider they may say the same thing about you?"

It's time to get out of our comfort zone and share our love with others.

How you make others feel about themselves, says a lot about you.

Dale Carnegie once said: "You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years trying to get them interested in you!"

In Mark 2, Jesus healed a paralyzed man because of his friends' faith.

This is why your circle of friends matters.

This guy owed a lot to his buddies.

And so do I.
