Money will buy you everything but happiness!
When I was 14 years old , I got my first job as a car hop at my hometown diner. I made 50-cents an hour plus tips. And no one tipped. I had to work most every weekend and missed out on most of my school's football games and social activities, but I learned about interacting with many different kinds of people. And the best thing . . . . I was making money!
We all love money. . . well maybe not money, but the things that money will buy. Most people think money will buy happiness. But usually the more we get the more we want.
Wealth isn't measured by the size of your wallet; it's about your ability to find joy in simplicity. Remember, it's not about who has the most, but who needs the least.
Is money good or evil? Money is a magnifier. If you have good intentions, it magnifies good. If you are selfish and wasteful, it magnifies bad. Money doesn't have a moral compass of its own.
Money allows you to bless others which will in turn bless you! If you're stingy, money might just make you the grumpiest tycoon on the block. Scrooge?
As Captain Jack Sparrow said, "Not all treasure is silver and gold, Matie."
Sometimes, it's the experiences, the laughter, and the memories that make life rich.
Get-Rich-Quick schemes don't usually pay off. Financial success is a marathon, not a sprint. So, lace up those HOKA's and take it one step at a time. Slow and steady wins the race.
But don't forget to save and plan for future years.
As Dave Ramsey says: 'Live today like nobody else, so in the future, you can live -- like nobody else'. And when you get older while everyone else is sweating over bills, you'll be on the beach playing corn hole with your old buddies.
Remember it's all about perspective:
Our Way Live, Save, Give
God's Way Give, Save, Live
