    Bumps and Potholes

When I'm cruising down Hwy 30A in my little Mini-Cooper, every bump and pothole feels like a personal assault. The tiny wheels and tires on my car transmit every jolt right to my spine. Meanwhile, drivers in their luxurious Escalades glide effortlessly over the same road. Their larger wheels and tires absorb the impact, cushioning their ride and sparing them the discomfort.

It’s a simple truth: the bigger the wheels and tires, the smoother the journey.

The same principle applies to our lives. It’s all about the cushion of faith and motivation. Faith doesn’t remove the potholes from the road of life, but it does soften the ride. The more faith and motivation we carry with us, the better equipped we are to handle life’s inevitable bumps. Just like sturdy tires on a car, they help us navigate rough patches with greater ease and resilience.

Let’s be honest—on life’s road, it’s not a matter of IF  we’ll hit potholes, but WHEN!

Wouldn't it be amazing if we had a GPS that could warn us about the obstacles ahead? While we can't predict every challenge, we can prepare ourselves with a mindset enhanced by faith, motivation, and maybe even a little humor.

And speaking of bumps, sometimes they serve a purpose. For example, I could use a speed bump between my brain and my mouth!

Slowing down before I speak might allow me to avoid a few "potholes" in life.
