After completing his sales training class the sales manager decided to send out his top student on a sales call. He briefed the student: "This guy is very rude and difficult to sell, but he always loves to test young salesmen. So just keep answering his objections and be nice. Because he always gives students an order."
Thirty minutes later the young salesman came back into the sales managers office, and threw the order down on his desk. He told his manager:
"You were exactly right. He was very rude and had many objections, but I was nice and kept pitching until I got the order."
The sales manager picked up the order and after looking over it said, "This is the largest order in our company's history ." He waved the order and added: We've been trying to sell to this guy for over 20 years. YOU CALLED ON THE WRONG CUSTOMER!
